When The World Starts To Break - CD

£5.00

On October 22nd 2016 We Signal Fire release their brand new EP ‘When The World Starts To Break’. To celebrate the brand new four-track EP, the band play Manchester Academy 3 on the same day.

The main inspiration for the EP comes from a traumatic period of main songwriter Pete’s life. A few years ago he became acutely ill because doctors took him off a long-term medication. As a result he lost half his body weight, became very weak and lost his ability to walk. The doctors refused to put him back on the medication and he had to fight to get them to do anything whilst they were abusive in their care towards him, spending 4 years in hospital until eventually being put back on the medication.

The lyrics are about the fight to get through it all, with the help of a few friends who stuck by him. They talk about how he lost his faith with the world and people around him and how he overcame it. All this while going through huge medication withdrawals, relationship breakdowns and abusive care.

It’s about fighting for everything you have, believe in and hold dear through even the hardest times and acknowledging who stood by you and helped you and what you’ve achieved to get this far. It’s also about looking to the future for better times, despite what people have done to you.

It’s about never giving up in yourself or your dreams even if you and everyone around you as a consequence are falling apart.
